Verification of Payee (VoP) is a security feature that checks whether the recipient's name matches the name registered to their IBAN before you send a transfer. This helps prevent fraud and misdirected payments.

In the Netherlands, this is also known as IBAN-Naam Check (powered by SurePay). When you enter a recipient's IBAN and name in the transfer form, the system may verify whether they match.

If there's a mismatch, you'll see a warning - you can still proceed, but you should double-check the details with the recipient to avoid sending money to the wrong account.
